The mission of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (TPPI) is to address issues surrounding teen pregnancy and reduce the teen pregnancy rate in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Advisory Committee is a collaborative effort of community members who are vested in addressing teen pregnancy and contributing factors for Jackson County’s young people
Community agencies, faith-based representatives, parents, youth, and concerned citizens make up the membership of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative. Participation includes involvement in the initiative through time commitment or donations. Each member participates in Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative meetings and supports the goals identified. Community members are expected to make decisions for the good of the community, as a whole. Community members apply their professional/personal experience, influence, and expertise in determining the initiative’s direction. Community members will identify opportunities for private/public partnerships and assist with fundraising/grant writing as appropriate.
