Focused on strength-based, positive youth development, EYT is a program that combines sexual risk avoidance education with life skills to empower our youth today. EYT takes place during the school day in partnership with an onsite teacher for 5th and 6th-grade students between the ages of 10-15 years old.
Through a series of 20 lessons, students acquire knowledge to help them navigate through peer pressure, puberty, social media, and how to develop healthy relationships, friendships, and decision-making/goal-setting skills. These essential skills have been proven to aid students in completing their goals without involving risky behavior.
Our focus schools include Middle School at Parkside, Hunt Elementary, and Cascades. In our renewal plan, we hope to reach out to more schools that would like to partner with us in providing students with positive youth development tools to help them say yes to their future.

Built on Self Success (B.O.S.S) is the first-ever after-school program that is an extension of the Empowering Youth Today in the school program. The after-school program is currently stationed in Middle School at Parkside and we meet every other Wednesday. We have about 20 students between 6th, 7th and 8th grade. The students are pushed to embody the characteristics of a BOSS through peer education and projects that take them out of their comfort zones to better their lives, community and school.
