What is a TB test?

We provide the Mantoux TB skin test to check for tuberculosis infection.

How do I get my TB skin test results?

You must come back to our office 48 to 72 hours after your TB skin test is placed to have it read by a nurse. If you are unable to return within 72 hours during our clinic hours, the test will be invalid. You will have to pay again to be retested.

How much does a TB test cost? Does insurance cover it?

The cost of a TB skin test is payable by cash, check or credit. Medicaid covers this test, so please be sure to present your card. We do not bill private insurances and will provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How long is a TB test good for?

Your employer or licenser will determine how often you need TB testing.

What if my TB test is positive?

A positive TB skin test result means you have been exposed to the TB germ. Further evaluation is needed.

What do I do if I have a positive TB test?
