4th Circuit Court Services Information &     Filing Fees

Filing Methods

  • In Person at the Jackson County Clerk's Office at 312 S. Jackson Street, Jackson, MI 49201
  • Mail to the Jackson County Clerk's Office at 312 S. Jackson Street, Jackson, MI 49201
  • Fax Filing is limited to 20 pages maximum
    • Documents received in total before 4 pm will be filed on the same date. Documents received after 4 pm will be received the following business day. 
    • The sending party shall not provide another copy; the fax is deemed the original.
    • Any Friend of the Court or Judge's copy must be provided directly to those entities. 
    • The Clerk's Office will not mail or email true copies of any documents or copies of receipts to the sender. 
    • The sender must verify that the filing was received and pay any associated filing fees. 

Documents must meet minimum filing requirements to be accepted for filing.

If you are seeking information from the 4th Circuit Court as to whether a previous conviction was set aside, you can run a criminal history search at the   Michigan State Police's ICHAT. There may be a fee for a record search.

* ($175 filing fee for AA, AP, AL, AS, and AW. All other appeals have a $150 filing fee.)
