COVID Vaccines are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays when the Imms Clinic is open on a Walk in basis (8am - 11:30am & 1pm - 4:00pm).  However, if someone has certain restrictions, we ask that an appointment be made in advance.  We continue our efforts to provide the highest quality services to the community as possible

Jackson County Health Department (JCDH) offers a full array of vaccines to children, teens, and adults. Our clinic is a walk-in clinic and requires no appointments.

Beginning in August, the Immunization and Sexual Health Clinics will be open for appointments on Monday, Tuesday,and Thursday and Fridays.  Download the flyer with the revised information, including the COVID Vaccine walk-in clinic hours.

As of August 19th, 2021, anyone 18 years or older, who has immunization records in the Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) will be able to locate their immunization record in MCIR if a record exists and matches their government issued ID (ex: MI Secretary of State Driver’s License or ID card, or USA Passport).

The immunization record from MCIR will appear as a .pdf document which can be downloaded, saved, or printed.

Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program

JCHD participates with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program that provides free childhood vaccines to eligible children. If your child is birth through 18 years they can get free VFC vaccine if they:

  • Are on Medicaid
  • Do not have health insurance*
  • Have health insurance that does not cover vaccinations*
  • Are American Indian or Alaskan Native*
*An administration fee of $23 may be charged for each vaccine. Fees may be waived depending on ability to pay.

JCHD also has special vaccine programs for adults 19 years and older who are uninsured or under-insured.
