"Healthiest Nation 2030"
Changing Our Future Together
This is the theme of the 2018 National Public Health Week. Everyone deserves to be healthy and to live in a safe environment. But we also must realize our part in making this happen. We have to look at where we live, work, play and worship and make positive changes to reduce the effects of poor health and causes of disease. We have to form stronger partnerships between public and private sectors including those of faith based origins. We have to start conversations where neighbors and friends are the advocates for positive change. By working together, we can build healthier communities which can result in a healthier nation.
For more information about National Public Health Week, visit the American Public Health Association site where information on daily topic areas will be highlighted.
In addition, you have an opportunity to join Generation Public Health by signing a pledge to help create a healthier America. You can sign the pledge and see why other people signed the pledge here.
