Internship Information

The JCHD periodically offers a variety of public health internships in the divisions of:

  • Environmental Health
  • Health Education and Health Promotion
  • Personal and Preventative Health Services.

When we have internship opportunities, we will be looking for motivated, dedicated, and innovative individuals who want to gain education and experience in public health.

Interning will build upon knowledge learned from coursework and provide an opportunity to further develop beneficial skills for a career in public health. Interns work closely with staff on projects and will learn about the structure of public health funding and program requirements, enhance their verbal and written communication skills, and be part of an effective team.

Internships are typically non-paid positions.  When an internship position is available it will be posted below.
