The Road Patrol Division is the public face of the Sheriff's Office. These are the men and woman who you will meet if you call 911 or you attend one of the many special events in the county. The Road Patrol Division is comprised of many different units and divisions. Some of the divisions are made up of members of the community who volunteer their time to keep Jackson County Safe.
The Road Patrol Division currently has a dedicated staff of sworn Patrol Deputies and Patrol Sergeants who serve the community by responding to 911 calls, monitoring traffic, and providing security at special events. Most of the sworn patrol personnel work 12 hour rotating shifts.
The Sheriff's Office uses a fleet of Dodge Chargers, Durangos and Ford Explorers to patrol the 720 square miles of Jackson County.
