The Jackson County Department on Aging and the Jackson County Fair join together to honor outstanding contributions made by Jackson County’s older citizens. Recognition will be given to people who have volunteered in the community since age 60. Honorees will be invited to attend the award ceremony on Senior Day at the Jackson County Fair on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Nominations may be submitted by an individual or an organization.
2.The Jackson County Senior Volunteer of the Year nomination is separate from the state level award.
If you have submitted a nomination to the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency please consider sending the nomination to the Department on Aging for the Jackson County recognition.
Criteria:
Age 60 and older
Volunteer work rendered since turning age 60
Volunteer nominated has not received a Jackson County Senior Volunteer of the Year Award in the past
